This organisation works to bridge sustainability and social support, putting unwanted items back into the community. They want to reduce the waste to landfill and see pre loved goods used again. They have many projects and services they offer to support a wide range of people, regardless of their background, the charity believes that everyone deserves dignity, safety and a sense of belonging. They launched ‘Open House’ in 2020 which was supporting refugees and vulnerable families, a food initiative called ‘Kultural Kitchen’ which celebrates culture whilst tackling hunger and the ‘Rough Sleeper Project’ which ensures homeless communities receive the essential items and help they need as they tackle life on the streets.
Get Rid of and Donate was nominated by the Mayor of Lambeth, Councillor Paul Valentine and received one Windows 11 laptop. The organisation is dedicated to supporting individuals who go through difficult times in their lives and this donation will contribute to the work they do, services they provide and the difference they make. It will ultimately support the charity as they aim to extend the lives of essential items and make an impact within the communities they serve.
