The Poppy Factory is a dedicated charity that supports veterans with physical and/or mental health conditions to move into meaningful, sustained employment. Through personalised one-to-one support, including CV writing, interview preparation, job searching and in-work support, they help veterans overcome barriers to employment, build confidence and regain financial independence. By working closely with employers and local services, they help veterans find suitable roles that match their skills. interests and individual circumstances, aiding veterans to reintegrate into civilian life and contribute positively to their communities.
The donated Windows 11 laptop will help reduce digital exclusion by providing veterans without reliable access to technology with they equipment they need to take part in the modern job market. It will allow beneficiaries to search for and apply for jobs, complete CV’s and applications, attend online interviews, undertake training courses and communicate with employers and support networks. Access to a reliable device will help veterans develop their digital skills, reduce isolation and access opportunities that can support their journey towards meaningful employment and greater independence.
