Walking with the Wounded

This charity is dedicated to helping veterans transition back into civilian life, working alongside organisations such as OP courage and OP Nova to support veterans. This includes both internal services ad community outreach, with the team attending local fairs and locations where they can connect with veterans in need. Whether those who have served are facing mental, social or physical challenges, the charity offers bespoke services which includes a mental health programme which saw 588 veterans supported in 2025. They also provide employment services, helping 363 veterans secure paid roles in the same year. The figures reported in 2025, reflect the positive impact Walking with the Wounded are having on veterans needing crucial support, alongside the delivery of 4,273 therapy sessions for beneficiaries and their families.

The charity received one Windows 11 laptop donation. Walking with the Wounded is not a grant giving charity, meaning it can be difficult for the team to afford to buy laptops for clients. This donation means they can put their resources towards other needs and services that the charity provides. This technology will help immensely, providing a source of independence for veterans and the ability to apply for jobs online, complete forms accordingly and take these digital skills forward into their futures.
