Food For Homeless Project is a grassroots community organisation supporting people experiencing homelessness, refugees, asylum seekers and others facing poverty, social isolation and barriers to accessing essential services. The organisation provides hot meals, clothing, hygiene products and other practical assistance, while also helping people connect with volunteers, local services and opportunities that can improve their wellbeing. As part of its work, it is also developing a Digital Inclusion programme to help people who are homeless, socially isolated or otherwise digitally excluded build basic digital skills and access essential online services.
The organisation received one Windows 11 laptop. The donated device will directly support its Digital Inclusion work by helping beneficiaries access housing and homelessness services, benefits, healthcare information, education, training and employment opportunities. It will also enable volunteers to provide one-to-one digital support, helping people become more confident using technology, improve their independence and move towards greater stability and self-sufficiency.
