This charity is dedicated to supporting and empowering young people and communities through discipleship, educational support, crisis care and skills development. They believe that every child deserves the chance to learn, dream and succeed. Smile Charity Uganda achieve these aims through a range of programmes. Some examples are youth discipleship fellowship and children bible clubs, which equip individuals with leaderships skills and practical tools for the future. The charity also provides educational support services addressing the significant challenges faced by young people in Uganda. With over 40% of children leaving education before completing primary school and 70% of youth lacking employable skills. These services play an important role, helping transform the futures of young people and strengthen the communities it serves.
Smile Charity Uganda received one Windows 11 Laptop to help support the day to day workings of the charity. The donation will directly support a team member who covers all of the charities children’s work and with child sponsorships increasing, the current situation of a shared laptop made working difficult. The refurbished device will help the team work more efficiently and effectively to support their beneficiaries.
