]The Advocacy Project supports people to have their say and make informed decisions about their health, wellbeing and social care. Its services help people understand their rights, make choices that work for them, take part in decisions affecting their lives and speak up when something is not right. The charity delivers independent advocacy services, user involvement projects and Local Healthwatch services, helping ensure that people’s views and experiences are heard by organisations responsible for health and care services. Its funded services are independent, confidential and free to the people who use them.
The charity received one Windows 11 laptop. The donated device will directly support a beneficiary by giving them access to email and online meetings through platforms such as Teams and Zoom. It will also allow them to read and edit documents in advance of meetings, helping them participate more fully, communicate more independently and engage more effectively in decisions and discussions that affect them.
